This is an expert engagement to understand the opinions of key opinion leaders on how environmental justice programs can/should be implemented and the scientific basis for making decisions based on environmental justice issues. We are seeking experts to fill 4 subpanels/expertise bins:
- Environmental economics (up to 3 experts)
- Social science (up to 3 experts)
- Public health policy (up to 3 experts)
- Environmental risk decision/communication (up to 3 experts)
The specifics of this assignment are as follows:
- Blinding
- All experts will remain anonymous to each other during all online deliberations
- Experts identity will be revealed in a report, but answers will not be tied to individuals
- Experts identity may be disclosed to sponsor during panel selection
- Review materials: several government reports
- Time required: approximately 20 - 28 hours

- Three rounds of engagement (modified delphi format)
- Round 1: Review material and answer charge questions independently
- Round 2: Review results and debate amongst panel
- Round 3: Re-answer questions and answer follow up questions independently
