My experience in the field of scientific experiments and working with scientific literature makes it easy for me to understand when a purposeful effort has been put into a study and the work has meaning.
I can distinguish hastily made and written projects from those where work is systematic and purposeful.

Veterinary and animal science's researchers have proper regard for conservation and animal welfare considerations. Any possible adverse consequences of the work for populations or individual organisms must be weighed against the possible gains in knowledge and its practical applications. And the approval of an ethics committee is highly required. A statement confirms that the authors complied with the ARRIVE guidelines and or the Interdisciplinary Principles and Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research, Testing, and Education by the New York Academy of Sciences, Ad Hoc Animal Research Committee, is always required. Also, if the manuscript contains photos or parts of photos of patients, informed consent from each patient is necessary to obtain in the manuscript. Therefore, I believe that our field is following relatively good research practices better then other fields, so far.

One does not have the time to check what is regarded as 'best practice' in all areas of research.

In my field, which is environmental science, researchers generally follow good research practices to a great extent. I would rate the adherence to good research practices as a 6, leaning towards "much more" when compared to other fields. This is because environmental science as a discipline places a strong emphasis on transparency, reproducibility, and ethical conduct in research. The nature of environmental issues also calls for a high standard of integrity and accountability in conducting studies, analyzing data, and reporting findings. Additionally, there is a strong collaborative culture within the environmental science community, which promotes the sharing of methodologies, data, and results, contributing to the overall adherence to good research practices. Overall, I believe that researchers in environmental science prioritize and uphold good research practices to a commendable degree, setting an example for other fields to follow.

I believe that in medicine there is a high control on the good research practices, mostly in the cardiovascular science, considering that there is a lot of competition and a lot of money involved

We have all kinds of guidelines, policies and applications. But it is difficult to keep all the the parameters in mind when planning and executing the research.

Researchers are under intense pressure by granting agencies to meet their milestones. This pressure has a tendency to reduce the efficacy of in lab review before submitting for publication.

There are troubling biases in all fields.  The apparent rise in misinformation and disinformation over the past decade or so seems to have infected most fields.  This is especially true in fields that interface with economic, political, social, or health concerns.

Well, at least in y country I think that the exact sciences are more close to the ethics than law and economics

The hard sciences - physics, chemistry, biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, geology, etc. -  are more committed to intellectual honesty than the soft sciences - psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, economics, etc. - and the humanities - philosophy, political studies, literature, etc. The latter are heavily infiltrated by political ideologies and hidden agendas.

Clinical research is strongly regulated, and perhaps that is the main reason inducing to follow good research practices.

Similarly, I perceive researchers within my field as following good research practices as much as those in other fields. This perception could stem from a sense of shared values, common standards, and a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations within my specific research domain. Nevertheless, this perception should be critically examined to avoid falling into the trap of bounded ethicality, as the study indicates that researchers tend to rate their field more favorably compared to other fields.

My field is statistics. Over half of our job is keeping other fields from over-interpreting and over-reporting thier findings. That said, we still have our issies in the stats field.

I think this is a general occurrence in academia. However, I would say my areas of expertise are still hierarchical and therefore are benefited by following bad research practices (there is no downside to it).
