- Within 3 monthsuser-337879It depends of the time in the year hpas it was close to christmas holidays and also of the journal policy
- Within 3 monthsuser-657321Varies greatly by journal
- Within 3 monthsuser-287804There is a large range in the time for a peer review response of a submitted manuscript. I received some answers back within a months, but had also to wait for more than 6 months for a manuscript last year. I do believe that the peer review process should definitely not go over 3 months. Data are outdated (for example for reviews) and others might publish already similar findings during that time. I do understand that the large time frame is usually due to finding a reviewer who is willing to review a manuscript in a decent time.

- Within 1 weekuser-226006But I don't accept them all, some are journals of dubious provenance.
- Within 2 monthsuser-660265It depends on the journal because some of them have a short time frame for peer review requirements.
- Within 1 monthuser-504085sometimes longer than 1 month, depending upon the journal
- Within 2 monthsuser-717875At most a month since some I would not be able accept based on schedule
- Within 2 monthsuser-381514Sometimes reviews come back quickly and with good comments. Most (80%) come back within two months.
- Within 6 monthsuser-3679013-6 months
- Within 6 monthsuser-633763After submission, the manuscript will be assigned to an editor who may not have effectively worked on the process and remain silent for a long time. This is the main reason for the delay in the peer-review process. Otherwise, some selected reviewers would like to deliver their reports at the late time allocated by the journal. Even worse, finding proper reviewers is time-consuming.
- Within 2 monthsuser-940118Usually there is trivial request for modification before sending to referees. This can actually take up to 1 year before considering same.
- Within 2 monthsuser-864994It depends on the journal. I have received my peer review in two weeks but I also have received my peer review in more than three months.

- Within 6 monthsuser-429130"It often takes a long time to find suitable reviewers for my manuscript, especially in niche fields. The process of recruiting and re-inviting reviewers who don’t respond can cause delays."
- Within 2 monthsuser-863705average is about 1 month and more, since they must have more than one review and the reviewers don't have enough time
- Within 1 monthuser-630519On average, it takes me about one month to receive peer reviews for my manuscripts. This relatively short turnaround time reflects the increasing pressure on journals to expedite the publication process. Such time pressure often leads to rushed assessments, supperficial comments, and reliance on general rather than in-depth critiques. As a result, the overall quality of the peer review process decreases, affecting both the robustness of scientific discourse and the reliability of published findings.
- Within 2 monthsuser-859444Continuing to take longer and longer.
- Within 3 monthsuser-753537I feel it tends to take longer and longer. I used to send a reminder after 6 weeks, but I moved that up to about 2 months as otherwise I'd have to send reminders for almost all my submitted manuscripts.

- Within 3 monthsuser-914553Some Journals (specially ACS Journals) are really slow sending back the reviews to the authors. Elsevier Journals are much better in this regard.
- Within 1 monthuser-92676There is big difference between different journals. However, the review time does not often mirror the quality of the review.
- Within 2 monthsuser-234128There are wide variations between journals. The best ranked the journal, the quicker the reviews usually.
- Within 6 monthsuser-739318I think some journals takes too much time for peer review

- Within 1 monthuser-677004The peer review could be accomplished faster if it is required.
