Can phytoestrogens slow down aging in women?
Phytoestrogens are
a variety of nonsteroidal compounds of plants which are similar to estradiol. They have both anti-estrogenic and estrogen-like effects. It is known that phytoestrogens normalize the condition of the body of women with menopausal syndrome. However, can they compensate for estrogen deficiency and reduce the rate of aging?

Phytoestrogens' contribution to slowing aging in women is mixed. It could support metabolic health, reduce oxidative stress, and mimick some benefits of estrogen, however, their effects are modest and highly personalised. Always with natural occuring compounds consult your physician. Phytoestrogens may act as weak agonists or antagonists in various tissues. So some studies warn of potential risks in estrogen-receptor-positive cancers.
