Are there concrete examples that genomics research or genomic selection led to superior crop cultivars?
Numerous articles predict that genomics research and genomic selection would accelerate plant breeding. We have been conducting a study to see how much more effective is genomic selection relative to conventional visual selection in plant cultivar development for a number of years and are about to write a summary article.
