In India, most National and State Highways face problems due to fatigue and rutting. How can we overcome these issues?

There should be greater accountability and transparency. There should be a portal where each stretch of road has basic information, such as the constructor, the cost of construction, etc. It should be possible for a citizen to post pictures of a faulty road on that portal, and the government can initiate action based on the citizens' input. Govt should inform the citizens what actions they took and how quickly and effectively the problem was solved.
