KCC is useful as a tool to initially categorize biomolecular activity of compounds for test chemical prioritization. In the future, the development of KCC chemical databases may help the predictive nature of KCC as a tool in hazard assessment, but the simplicity of categorization makes this seem unlikely for compounds with limited KCs. At this stage, KCC is not useful for quantitative risk assessment.

Too many labels (a la Prop 65 in California) render labeling meaningless. Labels do not inform about risk, which is more important than just a laundry list of hazards. Hazards as currently studied in academic literature are created in the labs doing the research by using non-relevant exposure pathways of non-environmentally relevant concentrations.

To generate search terms for conducting a broad and comprehensive literature search strategy as an an initial starting point for hazard identification, but not characterization.

Better to leave this methodology in the hands of chemists and food scientists who are genuinely more interested in safety of humans and animals than in publishing. However, as this is a new construct, controls using standard hazard/risk assessment protocols are very important
