AI is bad for science but good for scientists.
  • Somewhat concerned it will do more harm than good

If AI is allowed to produce references for documents (or studies) that don't exist (e.g., the US Administrations MAHA document with made up references!) - that would be a major problem validating scientific work.

AI sometimes finds things I wouldn’t have thought to look for, but I have encountered hallucinations and slop. AI is both better and worse. More results, faster; more errors, faster.

It will do more harm than good in the education sector, which is where I consider myself to be. That said, I see it providing good benefits in research in my area of expertise (visual cognition), e.g., with stimulus generation, etc.

It certainly seems to be a way to get information collected more efficiently, but there’s enough data and concern out there that it sometimes picks up unreliable information.

I think AI is good for simplifying tasks and saving time. However, I would be very happy if all institutions and countries had their own standard guidelines for the utilization of AI.

In infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance research, AI offers strong potential for predictive modeling, genomic analysis, and surveillance. However, concerns remain regarding data bias, reproducibility, regulatory oversight, and over-reliance without validation. I therefore see both meaningful benefits and important risks that must be managed responsibly.

AI tools offer genuine utility for specific tasks in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Smart Solution such as literature review and data analysis which can accelerate certain aspects of research.  AI tools offer real efficiency gains for routine tasks but introduce risks around accuracy, critical thinking, and research quality that require careful management. Benefits and risks are both substantial.

In my areas,, using blindly AI for research work can mislead to different and distorted result. This trend is common,, while it can reduce routine work pressure by automation. So my opinion is mixed.

    人工智能虽然给我的专业领域带了便利,但终究不能代替人的思维,很多的数据要依靠实验进行科学分析,有些没有涉及到科学的判断的基础工作可以依靠人工智能技术,但还是要适当审阅。

AI has answers to almost everything in my field, which would be the main benefit, as it provides a very broad knowledge base. However, giving isolated answers without integrating deeper knowledge of biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition (in my field) can be risky, since the information may be incomplete and imprecise.
